WHY THESE INGREDIENTS?

  • Ethanol and iso-propyl alcohol are the main ingredients for the alcohol-based sanitizers. They are readily mixed in water.
  • Glycerol or Glycerin - Alcohol evaporates the moisture from your hands and therefore a humectant/emollient/moisturiser is required to return the moisture back to your hands, especially if you are using the hand sanitizer frequently. Readily mixes with water
  • Hydrogen Peroxide: Used to inactivate bacterial spores but is not an active ingredient.Sterlised water to make up the necessary dilution

We recommend to avoid colourants and fragrances (few drops of essential oils)  as they might cause allergies.

HOW TO PREPARE?

Simply mix these ingredients in the percentages provided and you are all set to go.

WHERE DO I GET THEM?

Glycerin, Hydrogen Peroxide, and Isopropyl alcohol are available in pharmacies or in online shopping sites.

USEFULNESS:

We think that it will be economical for building societies, apartment complexes

to make their own and to distribute them to the homeowners when there is a scarcity of the product. When produced economically and in larger quantities, the surplus can also be distributed to charitable institutions, orphanages, and old-age homes.
